Racing

Racing R/C cars is an intersting topic. There are many different types of racing, and you can find racetracks for just about any type of cars. You can find a local track to participate in an organized racing league, or you could always get a few friends together and just start a kind of club on your own. Racing events usually are separated by the spec of car that you have, its size, and its motor/engine type. The events are usually 3-5 minutes in length, and they are commonly split up into elimination rounds. This obviously reflects the skill of the racer; only the best drivers move on to the next run. Yes, there are even some people who make a living by racing R/C cars!

If you want to try out racing, first you need to find a track. Ask other local R/C fans, or check the Radio Control Car Action Track Directory to find a track near you. Once you find a track, make sure that you call the track to see what their schedule is on certain days, and check to see if any special events are happening on the day that you were planning to come.
